Banilla Games is a leading designer and manufacturer of skill-based gaming machines, providing innovative and regulatory-compliant solutions for the amusement and route gaming industries. As the company grew, so did the need for modern tools to support its expanding sales and technical support teams. The website, a primary resource for both customers and internal staff, became a key focus for improvement. The goal was twofold: enhance the customer experience and streamline the workflow for Banilla’s Sales and Tech Support teams by making game and product information more accessible, ensuring they could quickly reference features and selling points.
Banilla Games’ previous website was facing several challenges that impacted both customers and internal teams:
These challenges highlighted the need for a modernized website that would not only enhance the customer experience but also improve efficiency for Banilla’s internal teams.
Through our consulting process, we conducted in-depth discussions with Banilla Games’ team to understand how their website functioned as both a customer-facing resource and an internal tool. By collaborating with Sales and Tech Support, we identified critical pain points, including difficulties in accessing product details and inefficiencies in retrieving key game features. Our technical audit further revealed that the outdated infrastructure was not only a security risk but also hindered site performance. These insights shaped our approach, ensuring that the new website would be designed to streamline workflows, improve accessibility, and create a more intuitive experience for both customers and Banilla’s staff.
Following discovery, we approached the website project with a strategic foundation—just as we do with all of our web projects. We began with Information Architecture, carefully planning how to structure and organize the site’s content in a way that would enhance usability while supporting long-term scalability. The goal was to create a framework that allowed Banilla Games to seamlessly integrate new content and business verticals as they grew. By prioritizing clarity, accessibility, and future expansion, we ensured the new website would serve as a powerful, adaptable tool for both customers and internal teams.
A key part of this strategy was integrating content features to improve both customer engagement and internal efficiency. The new site would provide downloadable marketing materials for customers, as well as technical support documents and videos to assist operators and technicians. Additionally, each game would feature dedicated video content, making it easier for users to explore key features. To support this, we built a dynamic content database, allowing information to be efficiently organized and served throughout the site, ensuring intuitive navigation and quick access to essential resources.
We custom-designed Banilla Games’ new website and built it on WordPress, ensuring a balance of flexibility, performance, and ease of management. To enhance both functionality and user experience, we implemented several key features:
Flyout Mega Menu: A beautifully designed, intuitive navigation system that allows users to quickly find relevant content.
HubSpot CRM Integration: Seamlessly connecting the website with Banilla’s sales and support workflows to streamline lead management and customer interactions.
Custom Modals: Designed for tech support and contact forms, ensuring an easy and efficient way for users to get assistance.
Innovative Video Navigation: A groundbreaking feature that allows embedded YouTube videos to include custom timestamps with labels, enabling users to jump directly to key sections of a video. While YouTube offers a basic version of this feature, its public API does not support it to the level we required—so we developed a custom solution that made it possible.
Through these enhancements, we delivered a site that not only modernized Banilla Games’ digital presence but also provided a significantly improved experience for both customers and internal teams.
